When a steriliser / autoclave functions correctly it will eliminate all microorganisms, spores and viruses. This is achieved through a combination of cycle stages which is different for each type of load to be processed.
What’s Involved
Our purpose as CP(D) (Competent Person (Decontamination)) is to test the various cycle stages and parameters continue to be achieved thereby ensuring the steriliser / autoclave continues to operate within the commissioning document parameters thus continuing to achieve sterility.
Maintenance
- Weekly, quarterly, annual, commissioning & performance requalification
- Water quality testing, Bioburden & sterility
- Steam quality testing & steam purity sampling analysis by UKAS accredited laboratory
Testing
- Working to time critical deadlines ensuring maximum reliability of equipment
- Servicing to manufacturer standards
- Ensuring service schedules are carried out to correct intervals
